If You Believe In Signs From Above...

I haven't actually seen the movie myself, but I came across a post online that says in the first two minutes of the movie I Am Legend, a newscast is being shown and the scroll down the bottom says, "GIANTS LOSE TO PATRIOTS FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON 23 TO 7."
You can see it clearly in the screenshot above. Check it out yourself on the video below which is a little harder to see. Pause it at 1:19.
Kinda freaky huh? I guess this means you should definitely take the Pats giving 13. It's a Hollywood lock!
6½ Point Jump!
A day after Brady said "We trying to kill teams", the spread between the Pats and Eagles jumped an amazing 6½ points from 17 to 23½! WOW, that is just crazy!
That is the largest point spread for an NFL game that does not involve an expansion team, according to odds-making experts in Las Vegas.
On Dec. 5, 1976, the expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers were 24-point underdogs to the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers covered easily, winning 42-0.
"Nowadays, you don't see too many spreads over 16 or 17 point
s," said Sean Van Patten, an oddsmaker at Sports Consultants in Las Vegas. "That's because most teams take their starters out in the fourth quarter of a lopsided game. The Patriots don't. I call this phenomenon The [Bill] Belichick Factor."
By continuing to pour it on the fourth quarter, Belichick is throwing Vegas out of whack. And making bookies run for cover.
NFL PickZ Week 7
Another great week last week, this week i'm back to picking 4 games
Last Week: 2-0-1
Season: 12-9-2
Key Picks: 2-3-1
Lions (-2) over Bucs-Lions light it up at home over a hurting Tampa team
Pats (-17) over Dolphins- No traps this year
*Bears (+5 ½ ) over Eagles- Take the high number in this even matchup
Seahawks (-8 ½ ) over Rams- Seahawks finally get going over an awful Rams team
*Key Pick
NFL PickZ Week 3
After a fantastic week 1, I came back with a terrible week 2. I'm ready for a bounce back week, here we go.
Last Week: 1-3
Season: 5-3
Key Picks: 1-1
*Chiefs (-3) over Vikings- QB Tarvaris Jackson might not play and Arrowhead Stadium, is always tough for visitors.
Lions (+6) over Philly- Black or white, Mcnabb will feel the heat after this upset.
PATS (-16) over Bills - I know it's a huge number, but it's huge for a reason.
MONDAY
Saints (-4) over Titans - Should be a flash-back of last years Saints Home opener.
*Key Pick
NFL PickZ Week 1
I started my pickZ last year in the playoffs and went 5-6 and 1-2 in my key picks (I know, I know, not great). This season I'll be picking a few games each week including my key pick of the week. Here we go!
Steelers (-4 1/2) over Browns - Look for big Ben and company to get off to a fast start in Mike Tomlin's coaching debut, as they don't want to start off slow like last year. Cleveland is also just not that good.
Pats (-6 1/2) over Jets - Look for the offense to live up to the hype against Ratgini's team.
*Seahawks (-6) over Bucs - Look for a finally healthy Seahawks to light up a weak Tampa team. The beginning of the end for Gruden.
Lions (+2 1/2) over Raiders - Last seasons worst offensive hasn't improved and dare I say the Lions have.
*Key Pick
Tough bet to chew
Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona is betting he can quit using tobacco, and he's putting up $20,000
to prove it, ESPN reported.
Francona bet Red Sox president Larry Lucchino a $20,000 donation to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston that he can quit tobacco.
The two made the bet to raise awareness of tobacco's health risks. It's part of the Red Sox's "Spit Tobacco Abstinence and Recovery War" program.
"It's a hard habit to break, but I have the will do it," Francona said in a Red Sox press release. "And I know that in breaking this habit and vanquishing this addiction, I can show thousands of people who never should have started that they can stop, and they can stop right now."
I give Terry credit, from what I've heard this will not be easy. Especially once Manny has a "moment"
Good Luck!

NFL PickZ (Super Bowl XLI)
Last Week: 0-2
Playoffs: 5-5
Key Picks: 1-2
Well, here we are on Super Bowl Sunday with no Pats. It just sucks most of the excitement right out of the day. I planned on having a big party, but now just a couple of people. The only things I care about today is of course gambling!
Bears +7 over Colts
Look for the slow track to help the Bears game plan of keeping Peyton off the field and for the ball hunting Bears defense to go after it hard against a "soft" Indy offense.
NFL PickZ (Championship Weekend)
Last Week: 3-1
Playoffs: 5-3
Key Picks: 1-1
Before I get to this weekend's picks let me rant for a second on something that's been bugging me.
Watching & listening to all of the Pats/Colts analysis from both national and local (shame on local) media this week. I kept hearing over & over that if Adam Vinatieri beats the Patriots that all Pats fans should be outraged at Bill Belichick and the organization for letting him go and not offering him what he's worth. Let's get the facts straight here. Adam chose to accept and sign the colts first offer and did not even give his former team a chance to counter offer as all free agents do. Not only that, he didn't even tell the Pats he was leaving. Here are quotes from Jackie MacMullan's Globe article from the summer. The local & national media should be ashamed.
Vinatieri said he has no regrets about not giving the Patriots a chance to counter the offer.``I never did contact anyone," Vinatieri said. ``I think Scott Pioli saw it on some league transmission.
Onto the picks.
Saints +2 1/2 over Bears
After watching Alexander gash the Bears for over 100 last week, It's obvious the Bears D isn't as good as it was earlier in the season. I look for the 2 headed monster of Deuce & Reggie to have there way running the ball enough to help Brees and his great passing attack. Oh ya and REX GROSSMAN
*Pats +3 over Indy
You know all the stats and records by now. One thing you can't predict is the crazy ways the experienced Pats find ways to win. I'm not sure who or what it will be this time, but it will be!
*Key Pick
NFL PickZ (Divisional Playoffs)
Ok, Last week I went 2-2 & 0-1 on my key pick. Losing two on Saturday and winning two on Sunday. This weekend has some very
tough matchups. On to the picks.
Indy +4 over Baltimore
Ray Lewis and company have been running their mouths all week about how great their D is. That's fine, I would to if I was facing "happy feet". I jut think Manning willstill get his enugh to keep it tight & maybe even pull out the W.
Saints -6 over Eagles
I look for the Saints high powered Offense to put an end to Jeff Garcia & his Eagles hot streak. Look for the crowd o be a factor a well.
*Seattle +9 over Bears
I only have one thing to say: REX GROSSMAN
Pats +4 1/2 over Chargers
I'm sure you've heard all the stats and records all week long. I'll just skip all of that. This should be one of the best games of the year & I'll take Bill and Tom any day in close games.
* Key pick of the week
NFL PickZ (Wild Card Weekend)
Here are my picks for Wild Card Weekend:
*KC +7 over Indy
Look for LJ to get over 30 carries to try to keep Peyton off the field and the poor Indy run defense on it. KC will keep it close and probably win outright.
Seattle -3 over Dallas
With both teams badly struggling coming into the playoffs, both losing 3 of their last five. I'll take the QB experience of Hassleback over the unproven Romo. Look for this to be a high scoring affair as well
Pats -8 1/2 over Jets
The fact that Bellichick would rather jump off a tall building before losing a home playoff game to rat Mangini, bodes well for the Pats. Also considering the Pats are back healthy again (accept Rodney) and Mangini made Brady look foolish last game. All signs point to a Pats win & cover.
Giants +7 over Eagles
I know, I know the Gmen are a freaking disaster. They hate their coach, Eli looks lost, Their #1 WR dogs it, Strahan is out. I could go on & on. The Eagles on the other hand are flying high since Garcia came in for the injured Mcnabb. So why am I taking the Gmen? Tiki, that's why, I believe he's not quite ready for his new job(s) whatever they may be. Look for Tiki to get a ton of touches & give it his all & keep this one close.
*KEY PICK OF THE WEEK
